And seriously, Fist Note has got to be THE game/non-game of the year.
Currently playing: Swapnote (3DS), Mario Kart 7 (3DS), Pushmo (3DS), TwinBee (3DS)

HOLY COW what an incredible past month of casual gaming. Beat Zelda a couple weeks, shoved Mario 3D Land into my growing backlog, and currently training in Mario Kart 7. The only "videos" I've worked on lately were actually family home movie to DVD conversions that I've neglected for a couple years. My apologies.
Regular updates are being worked on. And I'm playing Tales again, ahahaha.
Currently playing: Mario Kart 7 (3DS), Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii), Super Mario 3D Land (3DS)

Resurrected: Geist media page with re-encoded trailers and new intro and gameplay clips.
No more Skyward Spoiler trailers until I actually beat the game. Nintendo needs to QUIT THAT SHIT.
Currently playing: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (VC)
Seriously, that's a ton of Zelda trailers already. Why can't other Nintendo games get this kind of love and attention?
Finished my exams last week, after a painful week of studying. Since then, I spent my sweet time CLEARING MY FREAKING HEAD. A mix of old and less-old games coming up in near-future updates.
Currently playing: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (VC), Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii)
These LATE Conduit videos were supposed to coincide with my frequently-delayed Pietriots article, but suddenly decided not to wait so long. For now, I can make use of them in my previous "controls" guides, while my stupidly long unfinished article will show up... whenever.
I held back on attempting these videos due to the aforementioned lag issue. Playable games are so nice.
Currently playing: The Conduit (Wii), BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS)
Finally beginning to finish off the Brawl replays, despite giving up on the series (and fighting games in general) years ago - but these last 10 videos had literally been sitting on my hard drive for years, since the last batch. It was time to get rid of them before I get more sick of myself. I think there's another 20 or 30 replays I want to add, so I'll update them in batches once a month.
I don't consider this a major update - just guilty housekeeping. The special stuff is coming by the end of the year, following even more housekeeping.
Currently playing: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii)
Last night, I stumbled upon an option in my capture software that eliminates the lag issue I've mentioned various times in the past. Having used this setup for more than 5 years, I felt like an idiot. First, the option was written in katakana, so I easily overlooked it since it takes me time to read it with my Japanese skills so out-of-practice. Second, the very first time I tried it so long ago, it didn't seem to make any difference in my capturing (probably wasn't doing anything critical, like aiming with the Wii pointer), so I quickly stopped minding it. Not figuring this out sooner has made me a little upset.
On the bright side, having that lag gave me a reason to investigate it (previously) in the first place, and opens some opportunities. Just hours ago, I did a quick test to confirm it: live gameplay on my PC runs just as well as my TV. What this means is I'm willing to capture more gameplay footage that I was reluctant to try before, namely anything that relies on the Wii pointer and quick button timing/reflexes.
For now, my "currently playing" list(s) should provide some hints on future updates.
Currently playing: BIT.TRIP SAGA (3DS), Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), Beach Spikers (GCN)
Finally, here is the Capcom Five update, coinciding with my recent post at Pietriots. Media pages for P.N.03 and RE4 have new additions, while Viewtiful Joe and killer7 have gotten makeovers with new re-encoded videos. I was concentrating on this for the past few months (whenever I stopped playing video games), so this was hardly a routine update. More crazy thoughts are in the article.
My workstation is also doing fine (hooray!). It was apparently a dust problem, caking up on the power supply exhast and the CPU heatsink, making the fans work too hard, causing power issues. Cleaning shit out and backing up hard drives killed a few good evenings.
Currently playing: Mario Kart Wii (Wii), P.N.03 (GCN)

My video "workstation" crashed this past Thursday night, preventing Windows from loading. I spent the past couple nights examining and cleaning the insides, scanning and backing up the hard drives, hoping there was no permanent damage or data loss. The hardware seems fine, for now, but the timing was upsetting - losing two nights of progress means the real update is delayed to next week. Grumble grumble.

In an effort to improve notifications to visitors about site updates, as well as cross-promote related tidbits from Pietriots.com, I caved-in and opened a Tweeter account. (Please follow me? I won't lead you anywhere dangerous or disgusting...) Sure, it should help take away the guesswork regarding when (if ever) I update, I just don't intend to be "social" about it - many companies use it as an effective promotional tool, and we know some don't actually use it to listen to their fans ^_^
I'm
still working on a massive number of videos to add for a big Pietriots update that's unrelated to the "big" update I was talking about earlier this year. This particular update should be ready in a week or so, and is actually a couple years OVERDUE, and is separate from another big update that's also several years overdue. As you can see, I'm terribly late with everything. I'm also short on free time since I'm supposed to be studying for my license exam scheduled in October.
Currently playing: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), Mario Kart Wii (Wii), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)
Sorry for the lateness. Been distracted with real life work stuff. And when I needed a break from that, I played TONS of Fist Factory and Dawn of Fist. All that satisfying gameplay won't goto waste, tho.
Currently playing: Rune Factory Frontier (Wii), Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), Wii Play Motion (Wii), FAST Racing League (WiiWare), The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (3DS)
One more TrackMania set will be added (need to find time to play more), then I'll try to catch up with Reggie Kart and old Super Smash Bros. Brawl online matches that have been sitting on my hard drive too long. Then an amazing week of E3 updates?.
Currently playing: Rune Factory Frontier (Wii), Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
More TrackMania races from the same night will be added; just trying to update one little batch at a time.
Currently playing: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), Steel Diver (3DS), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
Oh boy, maybe I took too long of a break. There's a variety of stuff being worked on, so expect to see a steadier stream of updates. And I'll apologize ahead of time: been playing LOTS of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of Fist again (for fun, and for updates).
Currently playing: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (Wii), Rune Factory: Frontier (Wii), Rabbids Go Home (Wii), TrackMania (Wii), Mario Kart Wii (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Steel Diver (3DS), Nintendogs + Cats (3DS)
Really behind on converting new videos. When I see too many to work on, I get lazy (so many great games!). But hey, that 3DS sure is fun, especially Steel Diver. I guess for now you can checkout the Conduit 2 Wiimote Controls article I worked on over the weekend, just added to Pietriots.
Currently playing: Rune Factory: Frontier (Wii), Rabbids Go Home (Wii), Conduit 2 (Wii), TrackMania (Wii), Mario Kart Wii (Wii), Jett Rocket (WiiWare), BIT.TRIP RUNNER (WiiWare), NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS), Steel Diver (3DS), Nintendogs + Cats (3DS)
Regular updates are slow whenever I try to work on "projects" like the Wii Sniper Rifle Montage. With that out of the way, I can finally get that "big" article posted, which refers to a bunch of these "shooter" updates as reference material. I also started spending more time with my DS.
Currently playing: Rune Factory: Frontier (Wii), Rabbids Go Home (Wii), Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (Wii), Mario Kart Wii (Wii), NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare), Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS), The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
Only NOA REGGIE delivers a Valentine's Day PUNT with love. Ginormous videos later this week. My other "big" update is on hold while I scratch this recent video itch.
Currently playing: Rune Factory: Frontier (Wii), Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (Wii), NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare), Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA), Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

New additions: Speed gameplay videos and FlatOut gameplay videos.
More next week after I play video games this week.
I'm trying to maintain a modest but reliable pace. Backlogged with games, backlogged with updates.
Currently playing: Rune Factory: Frontier (Wii), NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits (WiiWare), Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA), Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (Wii), Sonic and the Black Knight (Wii)

Currently playing: Rune Factory: Frontier (Wii), Lost Winds (WiiWare), Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA), Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles (Wii), Sonic and the Black Knight (Wii)
The above videos plus my recent article on Pietriots.com are leading up to my big update (which is basically an even BIGGER article and a bunch of related gameplay videos). Finding time to work on content for both sites AND have a happy life of playing video games is a challenge.
