:: About this place (really need to update this page!) ::

"Six Sided Video" (formerly "OP666 Vids") is an amateur Win98-Y2K-hip internet "studio" for non-profit fan video media started/maintained by Julius D. Bautista. My interest in media/video editing began when I took a "Multimedia Productions" class in my senior year of high school (Class of '99!), loosely introducing me to the worlds of photography and video editing. Ultimately, it was the Zelda64 commercial/trailer airing on television back in 1998 that inspired me to mess around with video creation on a budget home PC (I wasn't a rich student, kay). By the end of my first semester, I finished my first project: a five-minute-long "trailer" of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (prior to learning about the growing AMV scene). Of course, it wasn't very complex, polished, or coherent, but the feeling I got while working on it (and seeing my finally-finished product) was very alive and simply fun. Having excitement and ideas that needed to be let out, I was looking for a better way to express myself and my interests; my motivation to produce hand-drawn artwork died, and adopting a fancy and challenging way to visualize my other hobbies was integral in maintaining my sanity. After finishing the ancient Zelda64 video, I was convinced that video editing was what I needed.
