Consider this: Matty Boy doesn't look all that pixelated, the textures of his sweater and hair are fairly well-defined, and the background sports a smooth optical-zoom depth-of-field blur. Is there room for improvement in the world of SDTV/EDTV gaming? SURE THERE IS. If basic visual aspects in SD/ED games don't look this clean yet, there's obviously still a ways to go, and I don't think HD is necessarily the solution. |
