The S-Video source footage of this replay has served as my primary test video for evaluating the DivX Codec (multiple versions) since 2005 (an eternity ago). Its purpose is to test how well DivX handled "busy" video game footage (30fps), helping me develop guidelines for compression settings, standardize predictable data rates, and produce predictable video quality based on those data rates -- governing just about every video I've encoded since.
